NEWS RELEASE: Open House at Dale Fisher Galleries & Eyry of the Eagle Reception Center

Friday, November 11 – Sunday, November 13, from 10am – 5pm the Dale Fisher Galleries and the Eyry of the Eagle Farm reception center will welcome visitors at an Open House. Located at 1916 Norvell Road, Grass Lake, MI, the gallery reception center will feature Fisher’s never-before-seen fine art photographs including some of the photographs which will be included in his upcoming and last book, “Washtenaw County: Visions of the Eagle.”

Inside the historic Eagle Nest barn is the “Stadium Room” which showcases Fisher’s huge selection of University and stadium photographs, which include Harbaugh’s first win at Michigan Stadium, Guinness International Champions Cup Matches, as well as this year’s Military appreciation and Alumni Day football games. Also housed in the barn will be a wide selection of photographic fine art from all over the country- framed, ready to frame, matted and photographic prints.

“Many people do not know that our 100-acre farm houses two galleries/reception/retreat centers, an outdoor wedding venue featuring a pergola and pond,” says Fisher. “Weather permitting, guests will have a chance to tour the property, view art, and meet the collection of farm animals which include a llama, chickens, and miniature burrows,” adds Fisher.

In addition to the photographic art, studio and farm tours, hors d’oeurvres will be provided by many of our “preferred” catering vendors including; Oak Tree Catering, Knights Kitchen, Gene Davis and Sons, and Grady’s Custom Catering. “This is an excellent time for brides to taste a sampling from local caterers, see our many amenities and pick-up a complete list of our preferred vendors,” says Joanne Ackerman, Communications Manager.

In a career that has spanned more than half a century, Dale Fisher has created photographic images from a unique perspective – from the “Eyes of an Eagle.” Working almost exclusively from a helicopter, breathtaking photographs become works of art in their own right. Many of these photographs are on display in leading institutions and corporations as well as in private homes worldwide.

This is event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
