The 8th Annual Michigan's Center for the Photographic Arts Fall Focus Festival and Fine Art Show will be held on September 20th and 21th, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. In addition to the children's art display, during the Fall Focus Festival professional artists display and sell their art and give seminars appealing to the fine art consumer, children, families, and professional photographers. If you are an artists and are interested in displaying your work during this event, please contact the Dale Fisher Galleries at (517) 522-3705 for more information. One of the purposes of the Michigan's Center for the Photographic Arts is to unleash the creative spirit in each child, to teach them to be vitally aware of their surroundings, and introduce them to art professionals. During the year professional photographers work within Michigan schools to give basic instruction in art and composition and how to communicate with the camera. Each child was given a disposable camera and their best art is mounted, enlarged and displayed at the annual event. This event is held the 3rd weekend in September and is open to the public at the Dale Fisher Galleries/Eyry of the Eagle Reception Center, which houses three art galleries, a state-of-the-art photography lab with digital capabilities, and framing center. The Michigan's Center for the Photographic Arts/Dale Fisher Galleries is located at 1916 Norvell Road, Grass Lake, MI (517) 522-3705. DIRECTIONS
